Meter Reset

I have an Asset that has an Activity that is tied to a Schedule with a meter that has a Last Service Reading. I created a Work Order for this Asset and selected the Activity, then Released it. I completed the Work Order and entered a Reset Reading for this meter with a comment and Applied it. I can see my reset reading in the meter history, however the Last Service Reading is not updating to this new value. Am I missing a setup? Please see the screenshots attached.

The Last Service Reading was the initial reading for this meter. It has been incrementing from an API that updates it with the daily change value. When I generated the Work Order via the Activity, I expected when I did the meter reset to find the Last Service Reading to be reset and it is not changed.
