When sending costs from PC to AM, is it possible to relate an activity that has already been related

Hi - I don't know why, but we have some departments that accumulate costs in one project activity and want to create multiple assets from that activity. I've recommended that they create a unique activity for each asset, but they are resistant to this idea.

I just want to confirm that once an activity has been related to an asset and costs capitalized, it is not possible to relate the activity to a new asset using either manual or express capitalization.

Version info: 9.2.19, PeopleTools 8.54 and upgrading to PUM 30, PeopleTools 8.57 this year.
