What should the deployment mode be on an Essbase database in the FDMEE application Settings?

Hello
We are running 11.1.2.4.0. We have both EssBase and Planning applications. They do share dimensions. They are BSO. We do our metadata maintenance in the Dimension Library in the web app. We are in the process of developing a new EssBase application. While working on the FDMEE setup to load data, I was comparing the new EssBase app to the old one. And I noticed in the Target Application settings under Application Details, that the existing one lists the deployment mode as Classic. My new one I have set up as EPMA. Is one of these set up incorrectly or
