PAXEXGLD How to clear Exceptions

Possibly a daft question ....

EBS R12.1.3

PAXEXGLD: EXC: Transaction Exception Details by GL Period

Exceptions are thrown like:

Exception Reason : Accounting flexfield could not be validated

Corrective Action :  Change auto accounting or enable the code combination in GL and re-run interface programs

The reason for the error was that the source transactions contravened Cross Validation Rules.  

However rather than change the rules and rerun accounting the users created new source documents with the correct data and these were processed through to GL successfully.

The problem is that the original transactions are still throwing exceptions and they need to be removed from the report but not processed to GL.
