Applying Exadata patch to non-Exadata database - possible?

Hi,

the question is - is it possible to apply Exadata patch to non-exadata database without any further problems?

I'm especially interested in patch number 12849492 which name is "Patch 12849492: TRACKING BUG FOR 11.2.0.1 DB MACHINE BUNDLE PATCH 12".

I have done a small test and applied this patch on non-exadata 11.2.0.1/x64 Linux and it looks like it works without any problems.

So, is it possible? Is this supported any way by Oracle?
