Looking for advise to set up STAGE areas as KANBAN

Looking for advise to set up STAGE areas as KANBAN to get STAGE Sub and locators to call for delivery lines with predefined details (priority, ship method etc..) and then trigger Release Sales order.

Has this been done before?
