Interfacing cash receipts - how populate created_by as I need it

We are using Ar_Receipt_Api_Pub.Create_cash  Oracle api but it does not have created_by IN parameter - how do I populate created_by in at_cash_receipts_all  as I need it (user wants it as 'Interface' not from the user profile etc) ?  Update api?? What are my options?
