Tracking Business Processes through unifier.log to DB

We have a highly customized on prem environment and occasionally we will get records that get stuck processing and never provide an error in Unifier.  There may be fragments with TRACE logging enabled but this is the basis for my question.

I am looking for a way to easily tie a process/action that I have started in Unifier, to perhaps the executethread # in a log, or a process or record ID that will show in the logs. From there I would also like to know how I can track that same process on the DB server (Oracle 12c)

Have any of you developed way to parse through your logs more efficiently, or found an easy way to isolate a certain action and search for it in the logs? Perhaps there are also elements I am not considering. This is an open discussion and I appreciate and support and understanding that I am a newer Unifier Admin.
