storage replication Sparc T8 and ZFS storage appliance

Hello Team,

I have recently learned that the company will be buying 1 ZFS storage applicance and 1 Oracle SPARC T8 series.

following the recent post from

I see that both of the Oracle storage mentioned above are much better(performance etc..) than Huawei Oceanstor 6800 storage.

I would like to know:

1. On which of the mentioned storage should I provision the production server and which one will be the secondary storage?

2. If I will be using either ZFS or SPARC as my primary storage, which technology should I use to perform the LUN replication? Is hypermirroring available on these storage?

3. Is NVME much faster than SSD? how much does 5 T NVME storage cost? I am planning to provision 5 TB NVME space for up-to-date/hot data and 20 TB for archived data. Is it a good idea?

Howdy, Stranger!
