Change the SCAN DNS name and IP address of the RAC servers

We are planning to replace the current server and storage which is used for a 2 node RAC setup.

We will be having 2 new servers and a new storage box.

So as part of the migration plan we are planning to build a parallel setup on the new hardware. We will be create a new RAC setup using the new servers & storage.

So as part of the cutover we will have to swap the SCAN IP and SCAN DNS names.

Also we will be swapping the servers IP and hostname also as part of this activity.

The issue in our environment is that application team is not fully aware of the setup and they cannot give a confirmation that only SCAN is used for connecting to application; as per them there are some scripts which directly connects to the server IPs and connect to the database.
