Item Categories
Hi,
I am working with Item Categories and trying to understand the exact functionality. I need help in understanding the following aspects with respect to Item Categories.
Can any one help with it.
1. Assigning each item to a default category is mandatory. Why is it mandatory? What is the main purpose of this? Is there is any critical functionality which the item category is driving in Inventory?
2. It is explicitly mentioned that it is for reporting and programs. What are the report names, where Item Categories are critical for it? And why?
