Error: Recurring Voucher Not Eligible for Split

Support Community:

I have been struggling with entering a Recurring Voucher.  It seems any kind of tab or movement of the mouse causes a second pay item line to get created and then this error

ERROR:  Recurring Voucher Not Eligible for Split. 

CAUSE: The voucher you have selected to split is a recurring voucher.  Recurring vouchers may only have one pay item; therefore, they may not be split.

I try to delete pay item 002 and it does NOT delete!

Any ideas, am I the only one experiencing this?
