Should Patch Recommendation Change after Recommended Patch Applied?

Should the patch recommendation be removed from the "Oracle Support-Patch recommendation" once that patch was applied to that database? I applied patches in the database, it seem like I still have the patch listed as recommended in Oracle support for that database. Just wonder if I need to do something so the list will reflect the actually needed patches.
