ODA X7 - Patch from 12.2.1.4.0 to 18.3.0.0.0 - DB upgrade

Hello All,

We recently applied the 18.3.0.0.0 patch to our 12.2.1.4.0 environment.  Being somewhat new to the whole ODA world, I noticed that the databases (we have a 12cR1 and 12cR2 home), is showing the installed version of 12.2.0.1.180417 and 12.1.0.2.180417; however, there is an available version of : 12.2.0.1.180717 and 12.1.0.2.180717.  Question is how to I update the database to this version?  Do I need to download the RDBMS clone file and apply it that way, and will this patch the home or create a new one?
