trendmicro on Exadata Compute node

Our security department is requesting that we install the TrendMicro security agent on our Exadata compute nodes. This agent will detect malware/virus information on the compute node. Is this type of agent installation needed or recommended by Oracle? Does anyone have history with this type of agent running on a database node?
