Dual sourcing with autosourcing enabled

We are currently using autosourcing to source a single GBPA, we want to extend the autosourcing model to include org/local level sourcing rules that will take precedence over the global rules as setup on assignment sets. In testing rules for item A in org 001, it seems that it is only possible to dual source, with one global rule resulting or when a org/local rule exists the local rule taking precedence over the global rule, is that correct, or is there a way to have more than dual sourcing in this case of one item, one org?
