Hi,

I got problem when create the ASM diskgroup on the new purchased IBM 4k (4096 block size) disk.

In the old days, I use non-4k ibm disk. e.g 146GB or 600GB disk

These disks will have "disk block size=512byte" if I create VG on these disks I can see the picture as below.

lsvg homevg1

VOLUME GROUP: datavg VG IDENTIFIER: 00f9764600004c000000014ee6f6c719

VG STATE: active PP SIZE: 256 megabyte(s)

VG PERMISSION: read/write TOTAL PPs: 546 (139776 megabytes)

MAX LVs: 256 FREE PPs: 12 (3072 megabytes)

LVs: 7 USED PPs: 534 (136704 megabytes)

OPEN LVs: 6 QUORUM: 2 (Enabled)

TOTAL PVs: 1 VG DESCRIPTORS: 2

STALE PVs: 0 STALE PPs: 0
