Question on Upgrade 12.2.8 Patch

Hello Everyone,

Our current Oracle E-Business Applications version in production is 12.2.5 and database is 12.1.0.2. Currently, we are in the process of upgrading Oracle E-Business Applications from R12.2.5 to the latest release of R12.2.8.

As per 12.2.8 upgrade patch readme, the patch doesn't require downtime and can apply thru patch online cycle.  Basically, our concern is it's a point release upgrade patch and should we apply the patch in a downtime mode or apply thru online patching cycle in the production environment.

My question or concern is if we apply the upgrade patch in an online mode is there any ramifications or consequences to deal with it.
