Depreciation

Hi,

We are going to implement Fixed Asset in JDE and depreciation to be calculated based on straight line method for all Assets.  Need to maintain D1 Ledger type.

We are going to upload masters thru Zfile and balances as of 31st March and run the FA annual close.  Then run Depreciation method using P for April & May.

But when a new asset is purchased take for example, if the date acquired for 2 Assets say is 3-April-2019 & 16-Apr-2019 and deprn is run thru 30-Apr-2019.  How Depreciation will be calculated in JDE.  Our desired calculation will be to run Deprn from 3rd April and 16th April and not to calculate for the entire period.  Is it possible?  Or how does JDE calculates the Depreciation in these cases?
