Significance of Configure Web Single Sign-On (Web SSO) in AI Profile

What is the significance of Configure Web Single Sign-On (Web SSO)  parameter AI Profile in IP19.2.

We have we have few EAI components which are SSO Authenticated and had this parameter set, but then we were getting error like "Session Token is missing or invalid or has expired."

After unchecking it, integration started working without any error. I have gone through documents link (https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E95904_01/books/Secur/security-guide.pdf ) but did not find much about this parameter.

Can anyone please explain it in simple language ?
