oracle AQ Implementation and JAVA VM component pre-requisites

Hi Team,

We are planning to implement oracle AQ on existing oracle database(without JAVA VM component) running on version 12.1, Do we need to install JAVA VM component prior implement AQ?

Please share instructions for oracle JAVA VM component installation on 12.1 non-container database.
