Changing server IP address

Hi All,

We got following hosts being set up and we need to change the IP for Oracle restart. I logged a case with oracle and discovered that changing the hostname is not possible by reconfiguring the CRS and it would require the complete deinstall and followup with install.

I already have a database running on ASM and feel upon re-configuration , ASM would be started along with the existing disks.

Following are the steps I though would do the needful in that scenario , but Oracle does not confirm this and states this will not work.

1. Remove Oracle Restart configuration

 

This step should be performed as the privileged user (root).
