APPL_TOP shared vs physical in multi node instance

Hi,

We are in the process of upgrading to R12.2.7 and planning to have three application nodes; where two nodes hosts Forms and Web and one node will be Admin node with CM.

what is the best practice in creating a file system i.e. whether to create APPL_TOP in CM node and share it with other two apps nodes or have APPL_TOP in all three nodes?

are there any pros or cons between shared vs physical?
