Can you use Cost Method 09 (Actual Cost) in the CAM module?

We are running JDE 9.2 CAM and are considering setting up 09 Actual Cost Method for the CAM Branch Plant? Is this cost method supported for CAM? Are there any whitepapers that specifically address 09 Cost Method and CAM. Most of what I have found relate to Manufacturing and not CAM work orders. Is using the 09 method even viable for CAM. It seems overly complex for the CAM Branch to be tracking everything to the lot location level.
