Advanced Global Intercompany System. Interface tables and 2 instances of Oracle EBS.

Advanced Global Intercompany System.  Has anyone used the AGIS Open Interface Tables?  What functionality did you provide using the open interface tables? Has anyone built the functionality around AGIS to work with entities that are in separate instances of Oracle?  I understand that Oracle does not have this functionality out of the box.  I'm wondering if anyone has added functionality so that AGIS transaction between entities in 2 instances of Oracle, functions as if the entities were in the same instance.
