UDO (custom grid) question

Can someone please direct this to the right place?  I'm trying to find documentation, or ask a question on custom grids as a UDO and I can't find the correct place.

Specifically, as I start the process by pulling up the custom grid in P98220U and Approve/Share, does that have any effect on others using that grid in PD?  And looking for any documentation on this new piece of functionality.
