Mandated Sick Pay
I have followed Oracle's recommendations for setting up the mandated sick pay. But because this company's workforce is very mobile, include hourly union and non union employees,
some of the recommended setup does not work for the company. Oracle's functionality seems to work just fine if the company's workforce is static.
DBAs are setup for each state/local that mandates sick pay. A master dba is set up to accumulate all of the hours accrued, regardless of state/local. The Hours accrued/taken does print on the pay stub.
Here are some of our open questions:
1. The DBAs are set up to 'Calculate for all employees' because the workforce is constantly on the move. The 'Hourly' button is checked, but we need to exclude hourly employees and union employee that already have a sick leave benefit.
