Deleting OPEN_TRANS records - any issues or reason to archive?

Is there any reason to retain old OPEN_TRANS records?  Depr Calc and Depr Report are complete - years ago. 

We're going to PeopleSoft Image 29 and using the AM WorkCenter.  I get some pending Journal Creation entries from 2016 for a book that doesn't create journal entries.  I cannot create the journals but can use Mass Transaction Manager to delete the rows.  Deleting the rows cleans up the Work Center.  I don't need the rows.  Depr Calc and Depr Report are complete - years ago.
