Query on Kit/Configurator Pricing Method

Field "Kit/Configurator Pricing Method(PMTH)" in item master will have impact only if item have configured price adjustment setup in(P3293) ?

We are not using configured price adjustments for Item and using only advanced price adjustments, still have any impact if defined difference Kit/Configurator Pricing Methods like 0,1,2,3.. in item master for an item?
