difference between sun4u and sun4v from a dev perspective

our goal would be to migrate zones from a sun4u (M4000) to a sun4v platform (S7-2).
So basically this should be possible, same endianess.

Now I've been told that this will lead to troubles, because when a product is developed and compiled on a sun4u (and linked to specific libraries etc.), this will give a different result on the target machine, and at the end the migration will not be possible so easily (or at all).

I doubt that, because of the above endianess reason.

Oracle provides that same downloadable dev packages for all sparc servers (I think).
