Error message when update a sales order related to an inactivated order type

Dear all,

Due to changes in our company businesses, we were asked to disable an order type so that no new sales order could be created on it.

However, we still have about 200 booked sales orders on that order type and we want these sales orders to remain on the current ("old") order type.

It seems that we can ship and invoice the sales orders related to the inactive order type without any problem as long as we do not need to make some changes in the order.

Indeed, if user needs to change the Ship To Address of a sales order linked to the disabled order type, he is getting error message 'You are not allowed to Update Order Type because Lines exist for this Order.'
