Autonomous - ADW or ATP?

Hi,

I need your suggestion to help my client to make an appropriate choice of autonomous database.

My client is planning to migrate from DBCS to Autonomous Database. Here we see two choices. Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP).

My client is using the existing DBCS for two purposes -

a. To store transaction data coming from PaaS extensions

b. A data warehouse purpose where some important SaaS data is getting synched to this database and utilized by Oracle Analytics Cloud for various analysis and dashboards

Since the same database is used for both the purposes, transactions data storing from extensions and data warehousing for analytics, which one of the autonomous database, ADW or ATP, is good here? My client is more inclined to ADW because the purpose of the database is more towards data warehousing than transaction processing (data volume-wise 80:20). But being said that, my client prefers to go with one database which should handle both transactions and data warehousing.

Howdy, Stranger!
