Logfile housekeeping general or especially old file acfs.log.*, advm.bin.* in /u01/app/grid/crsdata/
Space in /u01/app/grid/crsdata/<host>/acfs
- acfs.log.* ~1 GB,
- advm.bin.* ~1 GB
Does it make sense to save old files?
I improve out housekeeping jobs which deletes old log/tracefiles or use logrotate with compression for some.
I use purgeLogs (Doc ID 2081655.1) which deletes some old files. Several other files are not involved there. They are handled separately.
Housekeeping jobs are necessary to avoid full /u01 file system.
Does there exist a general recommendation for log/tracefiles which old files should stay on server or which permanently growing files shouldn't be rotated because they could be useful for Oracle Support analysis?
