Element Reporting Name for US legislation for an element is limited to 19 characters
I am trying to create a new element using the deductions template. When I try to type the reporting name, I get an error message saying
APP-PAY-75240: Reporting Name must not exceed 19 characters.
But I can give a name which does not exceed 19 characters and then go into the Element Description window and then change it to more than 19 characters.
Same observation when trying to create an Earnings element using the Earnings template in US legislation.
- Do we know why the reporting name is limited to 19 characters?
- What is the impact of later going into Element Description screen and changing the reporting name to more than 19 characters?
