Oracle Linux install fails with flashing CapsLock key

I’m a newbie at Oracle Linux, I successfully completed the basic install into the command line prompt. A re-install with the GUI option seems to successfully install all 1351 packages. But on reboot, the computer screen goes black and the light on my CapsLock key flashes constantly. At that point I abort the install. No obvious error messages, but I did not check log files. The computer is a new Lenovo P52 that came with Windows 10 installed. Any ideas? Many thanks.
