db_writer_process=1 better performance than when 25.
Hi Experts,
I have multiple T7-2 servers running Solaris (version 11.3.35.5.6) with two zones, an Application zone and an Oracle 11.2.0.4 zone.
Performance 'waits' have been experienced through user experience and "test" utilities.
Currently, the CPU_COUNT for the all databases is 200. The T7-2 has 512 CPUs.
Based on the Oracle documentation for db_writer_process, being 1 or CPU_COUNT/8, the parameter was set to 25.
Currently databases are experiencing "write complete waits" of up to 40 seconds.
