How to prevent ODA-ADMIN password expiring

edited Jun 13, 2019 7:52AM in Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered ✓

Since applying the 18.3 ODA release to our ODA X6-2L servers  I've noticed that the ODA-ADMIN password is expiring on a regular basis.

When logging onto the Web interface you get a box with the following message :

The password has expired. Log in to the appliance and run odacli-adm set-credential to reset password. For more instructions, refer to Oracle Database Appliance Deployment and User's Guide.

Whilst I can reset the password I don't like being forced to at seemingly random intervals that don't tie in with our corporate standards.

I can't find anywhere in the documentation where the lifetime of the oda-admin password is set or can be changed.

Howdy, Stranger!
