Working with an upgrade, DB with Oracle Workspace Manager from Oracle 11.2.0.3 to Oracle 18c.

Hi.

  • Working with an upgrade, DB with Oracle Workspace Manager from Oracle 11.2.0.3 to Oracle 18c. I do a full expdp from source with version=12, and an impdp full til 18c. On the 18c I have prepared the database with rdms\admin\owuinst.plb script. From the source database, I have copied the rdms\admin\owinst.plb (11.2.0.3 version) Source DB = 11.2.0.3 Target DB = 18.6.0.0.0 I follow the description below, but when I run at 4, owinst at target database it fails. Se log file for errors. wmsys install fails:
  1. On the target database, deinstall Workspace Manager using script "owmuinst.plb".
  2. Then rename the "owminst.plb" script on the target to something like "owminst._bkp.plb"
