Hyperion API configuration and documentation to write access Shared services provisioning

Hi gurus,

Is there any APIs in Hyperion that can be used by a program/ web application to access the provisioning in Shared services?

We have an internal SQL tool that needs to monitor and regulate access across systems. For this it needs to trigger Hyperion APIs to create user, groups and assign access in Shared services.

Has anyone in the past have designed such a methodology? If yes, some documentation regarding the same would be very helpful. Few initial questions are :

1) Is there any documentation to provide insights as how to allow communication between a Linux server hosting the Identity application and the Hyperion Data source (OMCS servers hosting Shared services repository)?
