Legal Entities vs Using Establishments in Oracle 12.1.3

We have a single ledger, with a number of establishments.  Currently, we don’t have intra-Company sub-ledger transactions. All intra-company have been journaled. Our environment includes Quote-to-Cash, Core Financials, Procure-to-Pay, Assets and Project Costing.

This ask, is to setup several new Entities, which will have the sub-ledger intra/inter-company transactions between the existing establishment and between the new companies.  For example, Old-Co will have intra/inter-company transactions between New-Co1 and New-Co2, and New-Co1 will have intra/inter-company between New-Co2.

The New-Co’s share the same COA, Currency, and Calendar.

An example of a transaction:

  • - Old-Co generates a PR for New-Co1, converts this to a PO, then receives an Invoice and issues payment for this Invoice.  Intra/Inter-Company will be reflected in New-Co1.

Howdy, Stranger!
