Consolidating Remote Located P6 Instances to One Database
Current Environment:
3 offices (West, Central, East) each running P6 EPPM 16.2.8 (soon to upgrade to 18.8+).
Total users = 5-600.
OS - Microsoft and Linux. Soon to be all MS 2016 servers.
Goal: Consolidate all p6 instances onto one 19c database with separate servers for job services, bi, applications to reduce overhead costs housed in one location. We use p6web, team member, p6 pro, bi, and hopefully soon CloudConnect
Question: Is it feasible and are there foreseeable issues with multiple instances running on same server? Other than needing optimal hardware and network connections without leveraging other Oracle technologies (remember trying to reduce overall cost)? Are there Oracle technologies to assist with possible latency issues for remote offices connecting? Not sure if GoldenGate or In-Memory really fits here for this setup and maybe something exists that I am not aware of.
