AWE JobOpening Approval - Self-Approval Issue

We have a requirement to allow the 1st level approver for a Job Opening to be able to pushback to the originator if changes are required to the Job Opening before approval is granted.

As pushback is not allowed by the first level approver in an AWE approval process, we configured the 1st approver step to be the originator of the Job Opening and turned on the 'Self Approval' option so that when the Originator submitted the Job Opening for approval it would automatically proceed to the 2nd approver (which is in fact our desired 1st level approver discussed above).
