Essbase 11.1.2 using OCI connection

Having trouble to connect to Oracle Database using OCI after upgrade from 11.1.1. Was working in 11.1.1. Wondering where should the Oracle client (or instant client) should be installed: On essbase server foundation server or reporting server (we have three-tier setup)? Thanks.
