How to configure AFD from the very beginning (19c)

Hi

19c, single instance, ASM.

Is it possible to configure AFD from the very beginning, without previously configuring has..?

I have read some blogs regarding this, but can't get this to work.

If I do this:

  • install grid software only
  • manually configure it with roothas.pl
  • run afd_configure

Then I am able to label/unlabel disks successfully and create ASM instance since this labelled disk shows up.

But there has to be simpler approach, where I can use this option "Configure Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a ..." from the very beginning.

The problem with this option is, there aren't any AFD disks available.
