Manager Dashboard view for Dotted Line managers

Hello!

Has anyone customized their pagelets in the Manager Self Service Manager Dashboard so that reports that are dotted-line can view the employees under them? In our organization sharing the responsibilities of a large number of reports happens, but only the reporting manager has the benefit of the Dashboard.

Matrix Teams and Dotted Line Reporting make it possible to do transactions on the employee but they still don't get the benefit of the pagelets.

If anyone has any ideas or experience with this it would be very helpful.
