Element Input Validation Fast Formula not compiled in Self Service

Greetings all

I have an Element Input Validation Fast Formula that validates on input data.  It works perfectly if I capture directly onto the employee Element Entries screen but when I try to use it in Self Service (Advanced Benefits) then I get an error that the formula has not been compiled.  Is there an extra step that I am missing?
