Golden gate issue on Oracle RDS

Hello Gurus,

OGG version 18

Oracle RDS 12.1

We're running GG against oracle RDS instance as source and archivelogs are getting deleted due to RDS snapshots(doesn't use rman) if the GG has been stopped due to planned or unplanned outage on the GG Hub we want to make mitigate it.

Currently, the archive log retention is set to 8 hrs on the source RDS instance..i know that we could increase to 1 day but my question is ,reducing the BR interval from default 4 hrs to 30 mins should help too ,correct ?
