Datawarehouse backup and system topology

Hello Team,

Most grateful if you can please validate the architecture(backup and system) for my production datawarehouse environment (on ZFS storage and Solaris servers). The development servers(as discussed before) will be on Huawei OceanStor 6800.

The network topology is shown below.

Note:

  1. The heartbeat will be back to back between the 2 servers. We finally managed to use 10GBE connectivity from the  server to the switches and in LACP mode for load balancing as well as redundancy.
  2. The mgmt ports may be connected to a separate mgmt switch or in a different VLAN in a shared switch.
  3. The 2 * 40Gbps ports from each server are connected to MT's core switch for application/user connectivity to the databases on the T8 servers. They will be configured in dual redundant load balanced mode. LACP should be configured on the switch for load balancing. The same physical ports will be used for network traffic for all the VMs configured on the servers.

Howdy, Stranger!
