HA without RAC using Linux Clusterware?

edited Jul 29, 2019 4:21PM in Database - RAC/Scalability (MOSC) 7 commentsAnswered

How can I achieve HA for a 2 nodes database server running on Oracle Linux 7.6, if I my database is a non-RAC database?

My company just purchase a few sets of new servers to replace our current database servers. Previously the servers are running on RHEL 5 using Veritas Infoscale Clustering (VCS), none of the database are on RAC.

For the new server, I would want to suggest them to go for Oracle Linux 7 to make support an ease since both DB & OS will be from Oracle. Instead of reusing Veritas, I would want to utilize on Oracle Clusterware, may I know where can I find details to go about for setting up Clusterware for Linux only?

Howdy, Stranger!
