Does anyone know the reason why User Defined Depreciation on E1 would calculate depreciation twice i

In JDE E1, depreciation, R12855, was calculated successfully for the month of June and posted.  Depreciation was calculated a second time for the month of June.  The program should have only calculated depreciation on assets that were not already depreciated for the month of June, but it calculated depreciation on all assets.  We managed to void the depreciation, post it to the general ledger and the fixed assets.  However, my question is what caused depreciation to calculate a second time in the same month.  Hopefully someone else has experienced this issue and can answer my question.
